I locked myself out of my apartment earlier today. I went downstairs to move my whites over from the washer to the dryer.

No keys, no wallet, no phone. I couldn't call my roommates because I didn't have a phone or the phone numbers that were stored in my phone. I didn't want to leave because it was cold outside, so I sat around and waited.

I had twelve quarters and a box of dryer sheets to keep me company.

There really is nothing to do when stuck in a hallway. Nothing to distract oneself with.

I rang random neighbors' doorbells to see if I could borrow their phones to call the super. When I got a hold of him, he was far away anyhow.

Bored, I flipped my quarters. I tried to juggle two quarters in one hand, alternately flipping each high into the air. I think the highest number of consecutive flips before dropping them on the ground was four. Then I got bored again.

After an hour of sitting, my laundry finished drying. I folded it all up on the table. It looked neat.

I then decided to leave this awkward state of limbo. I put on a white undershirt to protect me from the cold, took another one with me just in case I'd need it later, and left for a computer lab to facebook my roommates to get a phone number.

I found one of em, called him up on a payphone using up two of my twelve quarters, but his voicemail picked up.

I think I'm just gonna go hang out at school and watch some student shows tonight.
